Scrub Them Walls 10/31/2008

Just a friendly reminder to all of you swimming pool owners...Remember to use a scrub brush on those walls and steps in your pool. If you don't, algae will sneak up on you in no time. Don't think you can slide through the winter and let em go...Brushing is easy when you do it at least once a week. Start at the shallow end with the stairs and then the brush all around the walls, shallow floor end as well. Remember that all of your brushing strokes are to be moved towards the deep end of the pool where the main drain is. Continue on around your pool until you have completely brushed out all of your walls around the deep end too. This will keep your water oxidized and your algae growth down to a minimum come spring time.

Have fun!

Did you know that if you have less than 50ppb phosphates in your water it's nearly impossible for your swimming pool to turn green?

Although it's expensive to rid your pool's water of phosphates if it carries more than 500ppb it might pay off in the long run.

Dear client,
Have you ever walked out to your pool on a hot summer day to take a dip and found that your pool was GREEN??? Well, there's more than just the recent pool party you had that did it. It's a food to algae known as phosphates. When your phosphates rise in the water is promotes algae growth and can lead to a good $30.00 + in chemicals and an hour of scrubbing and about a 30 hour filter run to get rid of it. With all of this expense it makes sense to keep your phosphates down and under control so you don't have to worry about calling your pool guy for an extra service.

We reccomend and use Seaklear products: http://www.seaklear.com/home.asp
Not only is this cost effective for our clients but safe for the environment as well. Check out the site if you want to...

Hope this answers some GREEN POOL questions...
